My first experiment into a new way of running (after failing my 1:59 target this year) is to bounce up and down. I’ve tried this in various formats over the years but I’ve never isolated it to train just on its own sake. I tested the bounce with both feet on the ground - which means I’m not exactly running. I tested the bounce with just one feet. I tested the bounce with alternate feet. It feels weird. But from past experience,
feeling weird normally leads to new things, as new things inevitably feels weird.
Let’s hope this weird feeling will pass at some point to actual mastery, even in a small way, as that will mean I am on the right track. Training provided by older yet faster.
